Fashola Mocks Jonathan Over Failure To Capture Shekau | READ

The governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola, has spoken up on the need for change in the upcoming 2015 general election.
According to Governor Fashola, it has been 16 years of backwardness with the PDP-led federal government.
Speaking at a rally held yesterday, March 5, Fashola urged Lagosians not to be intimidated by the presence of soldiers and police in their environments on election day, saying the law enforcement agents are also yearning for change.
Fashola, who was addressing party faithful at the All Progressives Congress (APC)‎ campaign rally held at Ibeju Lekki local government area, assured residents that the ongoing Lekki refinery construction would create no fewer than 8,000 jobs, while about 2,000 engineers would also be employed to run the refinery when completed.
He said: “Firstly, don’t sell your permanent voters’ cards (PVCs). On election day, troop out and vote; soldiers cannot tell you not to vote. Soldiers are equally hungry; they are not confortable but they are also managing. Their wives are hungry, they don’t provide for them too. Soldiers are equally affected by the devaluation of naira against dollar. Police are not paid. This government is fraudulent.”
“The‎ PDP-led Federal Government have taken this nation backward in the last 16 years, and the Federal Government is fond of fooling Nigerians on crucial issues that affects the lives of the citizens”.
He said: “Those of you, who are going to Mecca and Jerusalem, you should be ready to pay more‎ than the money you paid last year. Almost times two of what you used to pay. This government says they have given you electricity, is it true? This government has lied about every issue that concerns your lives. First, they lied that they did not devalue the naira, did you remember? Later you saw the result.Fashola, who blamed the economic woes on the policies of the government, said with the devaluation of the naira, Nigerians would now have to pay higher before they embark on pilgrimage to Mecca for hajj, adding that those embarking on pilgrimage to Jerusalem would also pay almost double of what they paid last year for the same journey.
“When you complained about the insecurity, they told you four times that they have killed Shekau, isn’t it? Now, Mr. President is saying they should go and capture Shekau, can you capture a dead man?
”When I became governor, the dollar was trading at N115‎. In less than eight years, the dollar is now trading at almost N230 and we are importing. You see, if we are exporting a lot of goods, it would have been good for young people because economics teaches you that you devalue in order to stimulate export of your own good; so that you can keep your industries running, so that young people can have work. But you cannot devalue if you are an importer”.
It will be recalled that Governor Fashola last week  blasted President Jonathan on his incessant visits to Lagos ahead of the presidential election.
